Future Recycling Bayside redevelopment update
Big changes are underway at Future Recycling Bayside Waste and Recycling Centre in Cheltenham.
Construction has officially begun on our redeveloped facility, with BFD Constructions leading the build. The foundations have already been poured, and the first tilt-slabs are in place. Over the next nine months, we’ll be transforming the vacant land on site into a state-of-the-art undercover 1300m² recycling facility, complete with brand-new outdoor bays for sorting of recyclable materials.
Importantly, we’ll continue to operate as normal throughout this construction phase – including our CDS depot – so you can keep recycling with us as the upgrades take shape.
Project Timeline
- Stage 1 Building, weighbridge and associated works.
Scheduled for completion by December 2025. - Stage 2 Installation of all concrete bunkers for recycled materials.
Scheduled for completion by May 2026.
What’s coming to Bayside?
Here’s what you can look forward to once construction is complete:
- Undercover drop-off area A fully protected drop-off zone designed to minimise dust and improve your experience when bringing in materials.
- New recycling bays Purpose-built bays to make it easier to separate and process recyclable products.
- Concrete hardstand A solid concrete surface across the entire site, helping reduce dust and debris.
